When leaving the country (September 2016) the immigration official could not be less interested in the registration slips - he looked at me as if to say "I don't know why you went to the trouble to collect them"

6300 som - $US dollar both in Tashkent & Khiva

Exchange at Tashkent airport on arrival - official booth closed, told to go into another office. As I only wanted to change a little they fobbed me off and told me go outside & upstairs...which didn't exist. Taxi driver gave me 5500 som.

I want to book at Hotel Istiqlol in Kokand for early September - but am finding it difficult to find a booking site online or even contact details. If you could help, it would be much appreciated,
