Accommodation in the Boysun area

Postby manny » Sat Oct 14, 2017 6:16 pm

Any practical info on where to stay in the Boysun area? I think there's a train station there, any other transport info on how to get there would be nice as well.

Hi manny, there is local transport going there in the form of minibuses and shared taxis.

Hotel Gaza comes recommended. I stayed in one of the others (forgot the name) - not recommended!

I did not have the time to have a good look around Boysun. I would love to read your trip report if you decide to spend a bit more time in the area.

Hi Steven, sorry for the late response.

We stayed at Hotel Gaza for 2 nights. The staff speaks Russian, no English. They were able to get us a driver for 200,000sum, he drove us around the mountains. It was a scenic ride, but perhaps i was expecting to experience more of the village cultural life which makes this area UNESCO-designated. The highlight of the trip would have to be coming across an Uzbek family who were taking wedding photos at a scenic canyon who were friendly enough to invite us to take pictures with them.

Thanks! I also got the feeling you need to have events set up for you or come at festival time to get something out of the place.
