Yagnob: Short trip with horses?

Post by torhaa »

Any experiences with horseback riding into the Yagnob valley, possibly staying overnight in a village or two? I assume a guide is needed due to the language. Anyone who can chime in?

Never heard of anyone organising such a trip. The main difficulty is always the horses. Shepherds are not really reliable, and tour operators do not own horses themselves. Zerafshan valley is mostly donkey country anyway.

Would love to read how you fare, but I think it will not be easy.
