I have just discovered your website and forum, so the information is priceless.
Planning a trip for july 2017 and havnt seen anything on the crossing between Russia and Georgia from Sochi into Georgia through to Tilisi, we will be driving and continuing on to azerbaijan. we are a group of New Zealanders but I havnt heard much or anything about this crossing point. is it safe, does anyone have any current information

Hi Jim,
Sochi to Tbilisi will go through Abkhazia. You cannot enter from Russian and exit to Georgia, see http://caravanistan.com/border-crossings/abkhazia/
You can enter Georgia at Vladikavkaz (Zemo Larsi) though, see http://caravanistan.com/border-crossings/georgia
