From many posts all over the web it seemed that the Uzbek Rail Website was not allowing payment by a foreign credit card. Can anyone tell me if this has been resolved? I did hear that Visa was only accepted yet I have yet to run across a post that said someone, say from USA, simply went to the rail ...

Has anything been heard as to when e visas will resume for US citizens? It seemed this was way more economical and easier than sending more money and you passport to the Uzbek Embassy in Washington.

Can you please tell me if US citizens (tourists) are being allowed into Uzbekistan without restrictions? I am finding conflicting information. Is the situation grave there?
