Re: Garmin Inreach: Forbidden?

So far have travelled with a Garmin Inreach to India, Nepal, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan. No one has been particularly interested in it (or anything else in our car) at the border crossings. I’ve left it mounted in a rear window of our car for continuous tracking. In all cases the bord...

Re: China borders reopened, no more covid quarantine, but tourist visa to China still not open to apply

Have been told that visa for land crossing must be tourist category. Transit visa is only for air arrivals/departures max 72 hours. Long wait time for a Visa app in Australia- 6 weeks to get an appointment due to high demand. Tourist visa still not available. Also I believe visa app needs to be in c...

Re: China borders reopened, no more covid quarantine, but tourist visa to China still not open to apply

We are hoping to cross Khunjerab pass Pakistan to Kyrgystan in May 2023. Driving our own vehicle so will be travelling with a guide company. Tourist visa is still not available but I wonder if anyone knows about the possibility of a transit visa (G class), instead? Also can a crossing be done from K...
