Hey,
Are you finding that all cargo ships are not taking passengers this year? We heard that this is the case but want to check other people's experience.
Thanks
Elliot

Re: Traveling by cargo ship suspended until 2023
This is what I was told by a company called Freighter Travel (https://www.freightertravel.co.nz/). "The COVID 19 Pandemic has completely decimated Freighter Travel globally for the last 2 years; now we are unable to offer any Freighter voyages anywhere in the world as a result of National Health reg...

Traveling by cargo ship suspended until 2023
Hi all, My wife and I are traveling from the UK to Australia without flying, and we have managed to get to Georgia so far. We are now a bit stuck for options going east and have been looking into cargo ships options. We contacted a couple of agents who help organize such trips and they both reported...

Re: Georgia to Russia
Thanks for your comments both! For now we've decided to stay in Georgia for a couple of months doing some Workaways and then take it from there. Perhaps whilst we are here things may open up (hopefully), either in Azerbaijan or Russia. If not, then we will have to rethink the whole plan! I don't com...

Re: Georgia to Russia
Yes it looks like you're correct Peter! I read that they had restrictions but eased them, however having read further into it is looks like it's still closed for foreigners. I've emailed the British embassy just in case. That's a spanner in the works. We don't really have many other options now! We ...

Re: Georgia to Russia
Hey Peter - Do you have contact details (Instagram?) for the Swiss people please?
Why did you not try cross the Georgia - Russia land border? I haven't read that this is closed.

Georgia to Russia
Hi everyone, My wife and I are trying to get from the UK to Australia without flying. We've so far made it to Georgia, however we're now finding onward routes difficult. We are considering going to Russia and taking the Trans-Siberian Railway as far east as possible, then making our way doing to SE ...

Re: Predictions Silk Road Travel in 2022
This is all such a shame! My wife and I are currently in Georgia, hoping to travel through Central Asia by land, and then possibly into Russia. I though the Kazakhstan border was open but i've just read that it's not. Can anybody confirm? Is anybody considering going through Iran > Pakistan > India?...

So is the Kazakhstan border completely closed then? I was hoping to travel there from Azerbaijan via the Caspain Sea.

Re: Iran coronavirus travel restrictions Q&A
Sorry to hear about your experience. It sounds relatively easy to get a visa using a travel agency before travelling, which is what we will try do!
