Re: Ishkashim border crossing: open or closed?
Hello, we crossed the Eshkashim border check point in July. Got visas at Khorog, very easy process. If nobody is at the gate you can go to the building about 200m down the road towards Eshkashim to get someone.

Re: Leaving a Motorbike in Dushanbe
Hi Chris. I saw your bike at the "Bikehouse". Nice bike! I've left my bike there for a year twice. When you ride out, obviously your vehicle document will have expired. Last time i did this i tryed playing the dumb tourist at the border, but eventually had to pay a fine/bribe for them to make a new ...

Yolo bikers!! In Dushanbe make sure you stop in at "Bike House". Google it. New tyres, oil change, general repairs, and a great place to hang out and have a beer

Ran out of money in Iran?
You need to take cash with you to Iran. They dont except most credit/debit cards. If you spend all of your money its very hard to do a transfer, there is no western union. But I found a place in Tehran that can help. Money Gram. They have a few options for transfer methods, the charge I think was 10...
