Re: GBAO closure 2015 and GBAO permits situation

I got my GBAO permit in less than 5 mins at the Tajik Embassy in Bishkek on 22 June (I had already gotten my Tajik visa in Istanbul). I paid US$20 and 100 Kyrgyz som for the GBAO permit itself and I hold a Singaporean passport.

Re: Kazakhstan / Azerbajian / Armenia / Iran Visa - Singapor

Hi Christabel, I am a fellow Singaporean and I went to Iran last year. I got my visa on arrival easily at the Tehran airport (60 euros/15 days). I did not apply for any visa code whatever. All I needed to do was to fill up a short form, which included a section for accommodation. Although I Couchsur...

Re: Report: Tajikistan Visa In Istanbul

I went to the Tajik Consulate in İstanbul yesterday too (29 May) and I pretty much had the same experience. I arrived at 1pm and was told to collect my passport and visa at 2pm. I ended up getting my visa at 3pm as I think the Consul was out for lunch. Nevertheless, I spent a good 45 mins or so answ...

Re: Tajikistan Trip Report

Hi funkyboots, wow it seems that you got the Pamirs almost all to yourself (tourist-wise). Thanks for the detailed response too. I guess I'll leave it up to serendipity when I do get into Tajikistan. :P

Re: is the Tajik embassy in DC being difficult?

I just wanted to share my experience at the Tajik Embassy in DC too: I'm an undergraduate studying in DC and I went to the Tajik Embassy there in person three weeks ago. Unfortunately, the staff there didn't allow me to apply for a tourist visa as I didn't have a LOI, had no hotel booking, and did n...

Re: Tajikistan Trip Report

Salaam! Thanks for your trip report, which was incredibly helpful. I intend to head to Tajikistan and the Pamirs in late June and I hope I'll be able to obtain my GBAO permit in Dushanbe (I'm a Singaporean, miles away from any Tajik embassy). This thread doesn't make me feel very confident hah. I wi...
