My e-visa from last year had a red "GBAO" watermark/stamp on it. It may be noted electronically, but I'm not sure if the border guards on the Pamir Highway crossing even have a connection to their system in Dushanbe. Thanks for the quick reply buddy. No worries Steven. When applying for the authorisation code there is an option to pick up the visa in Herat. I suppose we'll just run the gauntlet and see how we go. Will post an update when we try.

We're leaving Osh today heading down the Pamir Highway (typical loop towards Khorog). We'll update on if the situation is affecting travellers as we go.
