Hello I will soon arrive in Tashkent and will have to transfer to Bishkek. Unfortuntaley Uzbekistan airlines has only two weekly flights and i will not be able to catchany of them. I noted that Air Astana (good/bad??) is an option through Almaty, but I was also wondering what are the alternatives by...

Hello guys I am in Bukhara now, leaving tomorrow for Samarkand and then Khiva. I was thinking of making a detour from Samarkand to Termez, before leaving to Khiva. Is it worth doing that? Ouch, just read that the silk factory is closed on sundays, ans it is open until 5pm tomorrow.. As i wanted to visit the Bazaar and Suleiman Too in the morning and then cross the border, i'd say its impossible to be in margilon before closing time... :(

Thanks Bwv I am in Osh right now, and will cross the border tomorrow, probably after lunchtime. So the plan would be to take a shared taxi from the border to Fergana, then the following morning take a shared taxi from Fergana to Margilan, visit the silk factory and leave to Tashkent with another sha...

I am having some problems in finding a hotel in Margilan. The one I found on the forum (Atlas/Adras) seems to have closed. Do you have any reccommendation by any chance, as i will be in Margilan tomorrow (hopefully)

Hello again guys. Just 4 days before landing in Bishkek and starting the journey, so I wanted to check a couple of points. Steven, you were suggesting to take a minibus from Bishkek to Uch Kurgan. Do they run during the day? Ideally i would take one early in the morning so I can enjoy the landscape....

Steven, thanks so much! The Uch Kurgan/Namangan transit is really a great idea! This way I do not have to spend a night in Toktogul as I would probably manage to survive the 8hrs trip to Uch Kurgan :) Just not sure about one point: if I stay in Namangan and travel south to Margilan, shall I go back ...
