Re: Buying a car from a traveller

How do travelers from outside EU buy insurance for their car to drive in Europe? Probably carnet de passage or at the border as well, right? I don't know, it is outside of the scope of this website, but it should be easy to find out.

Re: Pakistan to India border LoC by Bike (North of Wagah)

Had a little look into it as I got curious: as I understand it, the Srinagar–Muzaffarabad bus is only available for locals.

Regarding the second question:

I haven't gotten a report yet of anyone doing this, successfully or unsuccessfully. Several people have asked, but none have come back to me with a report.

Good question, I personally have never read of anyone doing this but it could make a good precedent if it turns out to be easy. Please let us know if you what happened!

Re: Iranian Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia Report

1. You can but you do not have to
2. With the current news about rejections I would not pay in advance for my visa. Best to get the go-ahead first, then pay.

Indian passport. Solo. Cyclist (though that wasn't mentioned anywhere). Somehow that's a bad combination I guess!

It's not you. Could happen to anyone.

Re: Buying a car from a traveller

Hi guys, I don't know the details, you will have to figure it out on the spot. I think (not sure) how it works is that the owners gives you a power of attorney to drive it around legally, and then you register it in your home country. Could be wrong here, more info needed. But know that people do it...
