Re: Greatest hiking route with homestays -- any tips?

Re: Big News Turkmenistan Visa

My approach after 15 years of seeing this kind of news come and go: it's not news if it hasn't happened yet. I'll believe it when I see it.

Re: Hiring 4X4 for 15 days Kyrgyzstan road trip

I and my wife are planning a 15 day road trip in Kyrgyzstan. We will have to hire a 4x4 vehicle having English speaking driver cum guide. I have some questions. 1. No. As you can see, there is no road from Haft Kul to Dushanbe. Return to Panjakent first.

Re: Kara Alma (for the walnut forests)

There is no organised tourism in Kara Alma. You're on your own there to figure it out. I remember rocking up there in the rain. We were hosted for coffee by a school teacher, she then organised our stay with her friend (we were 4).

I'll close this thread. Let's keep the discussion going in the threads that already exist so there remains a single destination for people to read and comment, rather than having to piece a narrative together across several parallel threads. Thank you for your understanding! https://caravanistan.com...

Re: dark sky hotel along the silk road

The yurt camps out in the desert near Nuratau, or otherwise a homestay in the Nuratau mountains, that's the best place on your itinerary. https://caravanistan.com/uzbekistan/center/nuratau-mountains/ https://caravanistan.com/uzbekistan/center/kyzylkum/ There is also an observatory in the mountains n...

Does anyone know if it's allowed/have any reports of entering Russia from a third country directly with a Belarusian visa and/or the other way around. Especially interested with either the Belarusian or Russian evisa.
See above...I just merged some posts from another topic into this thread.
