Another important update. The consulate doesn't work on Wednesdays. On this website it's written opening time - Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, but it's actually Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. I was there on Wednesday and I was told that they don't accept visa applications on Wednesday.

I went today to Uzbekistan consulate in Almaty. It's completely insane. There are hundreds of Uzbek people pushing all around trying to either extend their passport or change citizenship. I was there since 3 pm. There were 5 more people waiting for visa. Only 6 of us waiting for visa but he didn't t...

I got Tajik visa today in Almaty. I didn't need LOI. Consul told me I didn't need it, but anyway, I still had it just in a case.

I went this morning at the consulate to get a tourist visa, I tought I'd have to wait tomorow to get it but they gave it to me in the hour. Is it that simple? With application form and LOI, how long is the procession time? Is it possible to get visa on the same or next day?
