Re-applying for a Chinese Visa after a previous rejection

Hey guys, my application for a Chinese tourist visa was rejected (about 18 months ago from in India) and right now I want to try again (in Australia where I'm from), does anyone know if a previous rejection makes it much harder for future attempts?? It was rejected under the observation 'Unable to c...

URGENT - travel insurance for IRAN

I'm Australian and currently applying for Iranian Visa in Dushanbe. I didn't realise travel insurance was compulsory. However travel insurance is generally quite difficult for Australian's when you're already overseas. World Nomads is the only one I am aware of that can do this, for AUstralians. How...

Congrats! Thanks for the info. So it generally takes a few weeks? That makes it tough with the Uzbek VISA being quite short already! Did you just go directly to Tashkent at the beginning of your month?

Re: China Visa from Delhi?

I did it earlier this year - although mine was rejected! My lesson learnt - DON'T say you're going to Xinjiang if that's your plan!

About the process - it's not done at the embassy. There's a large Visa application center at the stadium metro station.

Re: Recommendations for Travel Insurance

It feels good when it works out! I've successfully made a claim once, but every other time something happened I wasn't covered, and every other time I paid for insurance nothing happened ha! I didn't realize coverage is a requirement for Iranian Visa? That's completely black and white? I bought Worl...

Recommendations for Travel Insurance

I read Steven's post (insightful, thanks!) but just wanted to see if any one has any suggestions for insurance for an Australian (or worldwide) that DOESN'T require the trip to be starting in country of residence. (I wasted a lot of money in the past on a policy without realising this  ) Also g...

The risks of cycling through Central Asia without a Typhoid Vaccination?

I last had one around the end of 2013 so I would be overdue for another one however I've already been close to 2 years in Asia and they aren't available here in Kazakhstan! Will it be extremely risky to travel into rural areas without? Is Meningitis important (and if so, available?) in Central Asia?...

Re: Embassy report: Iran Visa - Dushanbe

Can anyone else report on recent use - if the VISA was supplied in the same day?
And if it will take a while, does anyone know if you can apply there and pick up elsewhere - probably Tashkent?

Re: Anti-Depressants - Uzbek border

http://caravanistan.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/medications_list.pdf There's a link to the list of proscribed medications in Uzb. Make sure to take your written prescription plus the boxes the meds came in. As for hiding stuff, the consequences of being found out may be quite bad. But two good p...
