Re: navoi to nukkus - the route via uchkuduk

Hi guys. Good news! We drove this nice road with our own car last week! We were stopped three times at the police check points. First was quick (they just warned us that there is no fuel nor water on the way to Nukus, and that the last guesthouse should be in Zarafshan). The second time was in Zaraf...

Re: Embassy report: Pakistan visa in Frankfurt, Germany

Any reason you used Frankfurt instead of Berlin? Seems Berlin does not need an LOI, at least according to their website* ... Self-driving in Azerbaijan by car or motorbike Q&A

Hey there, the stupid Euro4 rule is still in place in Azerbaijan and heavily enforced at this crossing. Tried to bring our car in on August 28, 2016. They asked for a US$10,000 deposit, which we refused to pay. Also 72 hour transit was not possible since we did not have an onward visa. Corruption do...

Embassy report: Pakistan visa in Frankfurt, Germany

Hey folks, we just wanted to leave a quick note on how we received our Pakistani tourist visa in Frankfurt. While being relevant for not even all German travelers, we could not find any information when we applied. So we thought, we'd share our experience: We applied via post in late August 2016. At...

Re: Iranian Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia Report

We can confirm the new opening hours. We submitted our documents September 23, 2016 and picked up our passports September 30. Visa was, however, already issued September 27. Prices for EU and Polish passport holders were 50 € and 75 € express processing time. The lady said to us, however, that expre...

Re: Embassy report: Azerbaijan visa in Tbilisi

Hey there, applied on August 5th and got the visa issued August 15th. 7 working days processing time as promised. Friendly and straightforward. No LOI, just a booking.com confirmation for 21 nights. Issued 30 days nevertheless. Full report also here: http://backroadvagrants.com/travel-guide/bureaucr...
