Crossed from Iran to Turkmenistan at Bajgiran border at the end of August with our own vehicle. Iran side: Was easy and pleasant. At the end of June, we crossed into Azerbaijan with our own vehicle from Red bridge and exited at Lagodekhi 10 days later and there was no problem at all. No deposit, easy car checks, …. On the Georgian side, lots of local cars waiting, but many locals told us to drive up all the way to the gate, so...

About 2 weeks ago, we were in Baku and tried to get a Chinese visa from the embassy, but they would not consider any request without resident permits. (no matter which passport you carry)
