Report: Russian Tourist Visa in Ulaanbaatar

August 2017: Tourist visa in Ulaanbaatar possible (even easy) for Czech passport holders; 5 days turnaround. Contrarily to what the embassy website and even all the signs on the gate and other doors say, the embassy is open for applications 9-12AM (NOT 2-3PM anymore). We needed: - a tourist agency v...

Re: Registration Azerbaijan

Answer to emto: As far as I know, registering one address per stay is enough. Since nobody ever wants to do it and they don't really know how, you can spend an entire day (or more) on doing it. So if you wanted to register every address, you wouldn't be doing anything else the whole two weeks. I hav...

Re: Caspian sea ferry updates & questions

May 2017 - Alat to Aktau (no vehicle) We were waiting one day. On Monday, 15 May we went to ask to the ticket office in Baku. There was a blond lady with a decent English. The answer was "tomorrow, maybe". We were told it wasn't possible to buy the tickets in Alat and it was necessary to b...

Update: when we were leaving the country through the Alat port to Kazakhstan, nobody cared about the registration, However, there was another guy who was actually being deported because he hadn't had the registration when he was trying to get out by train.

Re: Embassy report: Mongolian visa in Almaty

20 minutes, 58 Dollars each (Czech passports). The guy who came out was a bit surprised that we actually wanted to get a visa, and then he let us in. The building looked like a haunted house and except that guy, there was nobody. We filled in a form (no need to print it in advance, they can give you...

Re: Registration Azerbaijan

Registration in May 2017: forget Baku unless you have a local friend with an ID or want to sleep in hotels. It's a nightmare. The central post doesn't do it anymore. (I don't know if it's some change in legislation, or just a change at the Baku post office.) They sent us to ASAN xidmet. Don't go the...

Re: Iran visa authorisation code + application in Ankara

Hi guys, my friend and I (Czech passports) have just received our visas in Ankara with LOI (50 Euros per person, 3 days turnaround, we have 30 days in the country and 3 months to enter). This is how it went: We applied for the LOI through Caravanistan and its recommended Key2Persia agency (it was a ...
