I'm looking for a travel buddy 3/06-27/06

I'm going to Afghanistan from Iran and ending up in Uzbekistan (via Tajikistan). I am looking for a travel companion (female/male) to share costs (I am a low-cost traveler). I'm a guy, I'm 46 years old, I've been to Central Asia a few times, I've visited all the former republics of the USSR. My weak...

Yes, I know, but I'm asking about the crossing between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan near Termez.

Re: Shir Khan Bandar - Panji Poyon (AF-TJ) border updates

Has anyone coming back from or going to Afghanistan reached this crossing from Uzbekistan from Termez (UZB-TAJ Gulbahor crossing). When returning from Afghanistan, is it possible to catch a transport to Termez or does everything go to Dushanbe?

Re: How much time needed for Sukhumi Abkhazia from Tblisi?

With your first question write here:

[email protected]

With the second question:

The border crossing is not difficult, there is not much traffic there. You can get from Zugdidi to Sukhumi in a few hours (3-4 max). Maybe even faster if you take a shared taxi from the border and not a marshrutka.

Re: Garabogaz border

I don't know if the border is open (it was closed recently).

In 2017, the last section of the Garbogaz - state border route is a ride on the steppe. No asphalt, ruts, sand. He can do it in a sedan, but slowly.

Re: Passing to Abkhazia from Enguri Border

Last info (yesterday, MFA Abkhazia) "Сrossing of the state border "Ingur" is temporarily limited. Therefore, there is no possibility to cross it.
At the moment we do not accept any application"

Nice another option for a lowcost Turkmenistan transit (Iran-Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kirgistan or Kazakhstan).

Re: Russia-Georgia border update

16th April crossing from Georgia. One hour questioning by the FSB. Reason? First time in Russia and my passport (especially visas from Iran, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan). After that they help me catch hitch-hiking.
