Re: Report: Iran Visa in Erzurum
Just to keep the info flow up to date: all the posts above were still up to date at the end of Augsut 2016. 1.5 hours from walking in the door to walking out with the passports with visas. The biggest hold up was the queue at the bank: take your forms with you and fill them out there. 75€ per person...

Re: GBAO current situation
Seems prices have doubled at Osh Guesthouse. If it's the same place I spoke to by email, it's $90 and they would get 10 days GBAO. If you need more than 6 or 7 days, which they are handing out at the moment in Bishkek, definitely go to Dushanbe first and get your permit there. We just preferred to d...

Re: Kazakhstan visa free experiences
The Kazakh consulate department in London confirmed you can go in and out of Kazakhstan as many times as you like on this 15 day visa-waiver trial.
They just reminded us to make sure we don't stay more than 15 days each time.

ok, we're going to give it a go.

Re: Kazakhstan visa free experiences
Hi, Does anyone know if there is a restriction on the number of times you can enter Kazakhstan on this new visa waiver system? My application for a visa for Iran has just been rejected, despite having tour booked (British); well they said they needed another 25 days to decide if I can enter or not, ...

Re: Tajikistan Visa Report in Bishkek
Here's an update for the current situation on getting Tajik visas and GBAO permit in Bishkek:
At the moment it is taking more than 4 working days to get your visa. As ours still hasn't arrived, I can't say if it's 5 or 6 or more.
GBAO permits are being issued for 5 days, MAXIMUM 6 if you beg!

Embassy Report Update on Uzbek Consulate in Bangkok , as promised. The 2012 comments are still valid. Don't be fooled by their website saying it costs 50 USD for a 15 day visa. It's that plus a hefty admin fee plus a terrible exchange rate, which you are obliged to use. We paid 2,500 BHT (=77 USD) e...

Re: Iran embassy Bishkek
Hello, I'm sorry, I am probably being really stupid. But there is one thing I haven't understood yet. There is an authorization code that you MUST (?) get to apply for a visa? Does it have to be via an agent or is it possible to do direct? If I have an authorization code, why do I need an LOI? I've ...

Re: Visas for Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Iran on the road
Tx Steven, I'd read the embassy report then double checked the embassy website. In there it says for Brits, and some others, they do the simplified process which takes 2 working days, excluding the day you submit the application. And thn it wasn't 100% clear if they wnted an LOI or not. Wrote them a...

Re: Visas for Uzbekistan - Turkmenistan - Iran on the road
Hi, We are hoping to do the same itin as Stahlmann from about August time. I hope to get Iran and Uzbek visas in Bangkok (anyone know any reasons not to do that (for British and German passport holders) then Tajik visa in Bishkek. My specific question is now about Turkmen transit visa: will it work ...
