Hi all, I arrived in Osh yesterday evening and unfortunately received info from the host of homestay that there is no water in the city so no shower/western-style-toilet available. Tadj currency exchange from Samarkand to Panjikent

Hi , tomorrow I will leave Samarkand with plan of crossing UZB/TAJ border and go to Panjikent. I have no Tajikistan currency, is it better to exchange some USD in Panjikent, use some cash machine there, or use some guys just after the border? Or maybe in Samarkand I can buy somewhere TAJ soms?

FYI - they even didn't want me to open my panniers :) it was the most straight forward border crossing ever, but 80km road from Beyneu was a challenge :)

Do you know at which hour they are opening this border? I would like to make Beyneu-Nukus jump in one day tomorrow, by motorbike, and wanted to be as early as possible at the border on KAZ side.

I will enter UZB hopefully tomorrow from Beyneu KAZ. For last few days make no loundry to have nice hidden place for DJI Mavic. Cross you fingers people, if they force me to crash it I will cry like a baby ;)
