Iran extension in Zanjan
We extended our visa in Zanjan. It was a bit of a hassle, although everybody was very friendly. One of the soldiers speaks English, Omid, he was very helpful. First they wanted us to go to another city to extend (Shiraz, just 800 km away), but we persisted. After a while they accepted our request fo...

Re: Embassy report: Iran visa in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan
Today we applied for a new Iran visa at the consulate in Erbil, Iraq. No need to arrive early, we arrived around 10 and left with visa in passport 20 minutes later. After receiving our new RN through key2persia we headed to the embassy. It was all pretty relaxed, bags were checked but we could take ...

Re: Apply for new e-visa while still in Iran
We applied for a new RN while in Iran, because there's only one week between exit and re-entry, this was not a problem. We used key2persia, we made a mistake and they were very helpful, highly recommended.

Re: Mazar-e-sharif safety 2018/19
Hi, a personal experience report on a second uzbek e-visa: it's only possible after using your first e-visa. As soon as you've entered Uzbekistan on your first e-visa, you can apply for a new one. We had to do a boarder run because of this (first visa would expire too soon, but couldn't apply for a ...

Re: Re-entry to Uzbekistan on evisa
I’m not entirely sure if this is the same, but I had to exit Uzbekistan because an e-visa can’t be extended (my schedule changed so I needed 2 more weeks than I had) and you can’t apply for a new e-visa when you haven’t used the first one yet. So I went Tashkent-Shymkent-Tashkent to get a new e-visa...

Re: Tashkent to Shymkent border crossing Q&A
We took the Kaplanbek-border, from uz to kz with our own vehicle. Uzbekistan did a thorough check of the car, which was a first for us - usually leaving is quite painless. Uz guard checked photo’s on one camera and spend a lot of time looking at Rubens-type paintings of naked women. Also zoomed in o...

Re: Kyzylart - Bor Dobo border crossing (Murghab-Sary Tash)
Please note you should only pay 1000 som / 15 usd on kyrgyz side and 25 usd on tajik side. We were bribed as well on tajik side for all the bogus stuff, we knew it was all fake so we stalled for 30 minutes and ended up paying 3 USD for the three fake documents so we could get to Karakul before dark....

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A
Similar experience as Travelmates, now wait to be approved. Tried the same gmail-address for two applications (two people) and that failed, so used two different accounts. Friends of mine never received a code, they used a personal e-mailaccount so that doesn't seem to work. Receiving the code and p...

Crossed it today, so open on Saturday - quite busy, but took two hours total so not that bad.
