I keep reading that ATMs are few and far between in Uzbekistan.

If I have to bring USD with me, does it make a difference whether I have twenties or hundreds?

EDIT: when I click the link it says Application is not activated, error message ..., but when I go through and manually check application status it says application activated. Any tips? Believe it or not, it's possible that the payment system is not connected to the application processing and visa ...

To my complete surprise, after two "failed" payments, my colorful e-visa just arrived in my inbox!

Unfortunately mine still says "Application Activated" (as opposed to "Sent for Processing") and wants more Payment.

Exactly the error I saw - and my credit card company tells me the payment did go through. Both times I tried it.
