Re: information about flying with somonair

Hi.

Where did you buy that ticket?
On their Facebook page Somon Air said that they have stopped international flights since March. But there are fake sites that sell tickets.

Re: Detailed map of Son kol

Hi. OsmAnd application for navigation has trails, passes and yurt camps marked around Son Kol. Although it's not as detailed as you need. Names of yurt camps are not shown there. If you need a particular yurt camp will have to find out its location. Also check gps treks on wikiloc. There are quite s...

Re: Stomach health when in Kyrgystan

While trekking I ate sublimated food, special dried food for camping. You add hot water or boil it for 15 mins. Not sure if that kind of food is possible to find in Bishkek. I ordered it on-line in advance and brought it with me. In Bishkek and other local shops bought dried fruits and nuts, rice, p...

Re: Stomach health when in Kyrgystan

Hi. I travelled to Bishkek many times and never got stomach problems after eating in local restaurants. Once got sick after a dinner in a restaurant at Issyk kul lake. But my friends were fine. Strange that only me got sick. Anyway it wasn't too bad and recovered the next day. Was a few times around...

Re: Bayankol

Things like that are complicated in Kazakhstan. I'd say it depends on the mood of the guards at the check point more than on your legal permissions. I read report from last summer that some people got all neccessary permissions but the border guards didn't want to let them go. I was in similar situa...

Re: General info for a documentary shooting

Regarding Ulytau - what is balbal?)) I read reports from travels to Ulytau (in Russian from locals). They mention ancient parts of walls. Is it or something different? Just google it, it will become clear quickly. Surprised you never heard of them, I thought it was common knowledge that you would b...

Re: General info for a documentary shooting

Hi. And I'll add info about safety of leaving things in your car. I read and heard enough reports from people who's cars were open and things stolen from their cars near popular natural parks. Especially many cases were last season near Charyn canyon. As you have many valuable electronic devices I'd...

Re: Kazakhstan new visa free rule 2015

Hi.
Oh, I see.
I found and read the agreement between Kazakhstan and Brazil on the official legal database.
It's 30 days within a year indeed.
And it's written that a year period starts from the entry day of your first visit to Kazakhstan.
