ATM IN SAMARKAND

I hope this is not posted elsewhere, but I badly needed an ATM in southern Uz, and today, I finally found one. Its at the Milli Bank in downtown Samarkand. Dispenses $100 bills. A lifesaver. Edit to add: there is an ATM instide the Ulukbeg Madrasa inside the Registon. It claims to accept Mastercard....

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

Further further update: based on what happened at the border, it is clear that immigration officers are aware of the e-visa. The same does not appear to be true for anyone within the country. You will want to carry your printed visa, or at the very least your electronic visa, with you at all times, ...

Re: Border crossing report: Gulbahor: Shahrtuz (TJ) - Termez (UZ)

I have now crossed this border, and since I did it by road, which I imagine is the more common approach, I will write about it here. Its very easy. I chose to do it in part because the main border by Dushanbe sounded like a bit of a hassle. This border was active but calm and not stressful at all . ...

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

Happy to say I used the visa at Gulbahor (termez) today. Took them a few minutes to figure out what to do with it, but this lasted 5 minutes, and it was very professional and pleasant.

Re: Border crossing report: Gulbahor: Shahrtuz (TJ) - Termez (UZ)

Thank you so much for this. I am thinking of using this border tomorrow. If I do, I reckon I will be the first person to try and use an e-visa for the crossing. Fingers crossed!

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

Got my e-Visa today after applying on Sunday! Interestingly it is valid for 30 days between 15th July and 13th October ie I have a 90 day time window. Has anyone else had this? Also, I wasn't asked for payment. My plan is to cross the land border from Aktau to Nukus so will report back in a week or...

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

Yea I have the same thing. You can open it in Google viewer (maybe a better way of doing this but I just email it to my gmail and open it in Google). This also applies to my phone which is more important because I plan on just showing them my phone (the visa clearly states I can show it in printed ...

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

I also just got my visa. But I don't know if the information is correct or not. When I open the PDF, it immediately opens a print dialog, closing the dialog closes the file. I can't see what's actually in it since I can't scroll down. And I certainly am not able to connect to any printer. Anyone fac...
