Re: GBAO permit at Dushanbe OVIR

Went down to the OVIR today at about 10:30 and got my permit by 11:55. British national, entered with an evisa. Walked there and went to the door to the right as mentioned and gave the guy at the desk my passport and evisa. After he finished typing everything up I was pointed to the back window. Eve...

Re: Tashkent (UZ) to Khujand (Tajik.) by bus

Just arrived at my hostel after taking this bus today. Went pretty much exactly as @jeanjacques said. Booked my ticket the day before by going to the station next to Olmazar (shown as Автовокзал "Ташкент" on OSM). They write your name down on a list of passengers and give you a receipt wit...

Re: Possible to buy tickets on Uzbek Railways Website?

Successfully used this to buy a ticket from Tashkent to Bukhara that required collection. Payment worked fine with my Visa card issued by a UK bank. Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

Visa was just approved about an hour ago, so it took the three working days they said it would.

Date of validity is from when I applied for the visa until October (90 days), not the date I gave. Not an issue for me, but potentially worth knowing.

Re: Uzbekistan e-visa Q&A

Initially tried Friday night and couldn't get the email to send to any of my emails (Two custom domains [one hosted on google, other on a small provider] and my university email hosted with Office365). I was just changing what email I gave and not refilling in the whole application each time, so thi...
