Re: Recent experiences in Russia
It's much easier to be the Westerner in Russia then to be the Russian in the West. I was in Moscow in January, having zero issues with locals. Crossed the border by my own car from Poland to Kaliningrad, then by plane to Moscow. I speak decent Russian (it is not my mother tongue, I learned it) with ...

Re: Russian Transit Visa needed to fly through Moscow or if flight includes Moscow and Belarus?
I wouldn't try the return flight through Belarus. I was once flying from Bishkek to Warsaw with a stop-over in Moscow and Minsk. In Moscow I arrived in the international terminal and the departure was also from the same terminal but despite that I was directed to the passport control where my Russia...

Kulundu - Ovchi-Kalacha border crossing (TJ/KGZ)
Hi. I want to share my experience with the border crossing Kulundu - Ovchi-Kalacha between Tajikistan and Kirgistan (Polish passport). I was traveling from Khudjand to Osh and I decided not to try Isfara-Batken crossing but less used one to see how it would go. The border crossing is here: 40.122319...

Re: 2017 Kazakhstan 30 days visa-free for OECD countries
Polish passport, just entered Kazakhstan through border crossing between Merke and Bishkek. They had a fax with the list of countries, they only had to check if I qualified for the visa-free entry because it was a novelty for them as well. Then they let me in. One stamp on migration card. They said ...

Re: Azerbaijan to Russia
I spent a couple of days in Makhachkala and Derbent prior to crossing into Azerbaijan. I didn't have the car, I was traveling by buses and marshrutkas. I was questioned at the train station in Derbent but it was not very serious, just out of the curiosity, I suppose. I speak Russian so it helped but...

Kazakhstan doesn't share the border with Mongolia - you have to travel either through Russia or China.

Re: Tajikistan border - NO visa issued
I got my Tajik visa in Berlin on 11th of July (30 day, two-entry) with the GBAO permit (also valid for 30 days). Nobody said anything about closing borders in September.

Hi. I am planning my second trip to Turkmenistan I wanted to leave TM through the Gazojak-Druzhba crossing. I contacted two independent agencies and they said that this one can be used only by citizens of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
