No, just pedestrian and bikes are allowed, the road is blocked to cars.

We plan to go to Charyn canyon with our bikes in a few days (we are now in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan). Any updated information from cyclists who have been there recently? We'd like to spend a couple of days in the area. Any tips much appreciated! Thanks!

Crossed from Uzbekistan into Kyrgyzstan in Izboskan a few days ago on our bikes. Smooth and easy, maybe 30 minutes total time. Two Italians, applied and picked up in Tehran, 10 exact days, 10 dollars each when we applied and 45 each when we picked up. Everybody at the embassy very helpful and flexible.
