Hey, I had this problem too. I had to use my work laptop which had the right Adobe on it. The embassy weren't very helpful.
If you PM me your email address I will send you the form I used.

Re: Help with Fann itinerary please!
Hi, I can only really comment on Days 6-7. Day 6 is definitely doable but if you only hike from lake 6 to 7 this is a very short "hike". Day 7 where are you hiking back from? If you are staying at Noffin that is at lake 4 so would you not just drive straight down to Penjikent? The drive from Noffin ...

Re: Fussy eating on the Silk Road
Your options are limited since the 3 staple foods in Central Asia are meat, dairy and pasta. So you will have to self-cater pretty much all the time. It's ok, we get plenty of vegans and they all manage. For more forum threads and vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free food tips, see https://caravanistan.com...

Re: Turkmen manat black market exchange rates
We were able to get rate of 17.6 last week in Dashoguz, though we had been told by a guide we had met that the prevailing rate has dipped slightly from 18 to 17. In Ashgabat we only changed small amountd at 17 but could have got 17.5 if were changing a higher value.

Re: Caspian sea ferry updates & questions
I plan on crossing from Baku/Alat to Turkmenbashi this Saturday. As getting info on schedules seems to be difficult, does anyone have experience of what chances are that boats sell out? For cargo ferries, that only happens when the Mongol Rally arrives in Azerbaijan. The Berkarar and Bagtiyar have ...

Re: Q&A: Door to Hell
Hi Bethany, Great trip report. How did you get on with the language barrier? Do you speak any or did anyone speak any English? Hi - we don't speak Turkmen or Russian (apart from a few basics: Hello, Thank you, goodbye....). Did not present too much of a problem. At train stations and gas crater alw...

Re: Q&A: Door to Hell
Our experience going Southbound as most reported here seem to be Northbound. Definitely possible independently and could have been done pretty cheaply if necessary. Day 1 9am arrived at Khojeli Konye Urgench border. 11.45am clear border and get a driver to take us around Konye Urgench sites and driv...

Re: 21 days in Uzbekistan!
Hi all, So we've developed the itinerary a little more and would be so grateful if you could help in any way with three questions: 1) we''d love to squeeze an extra night at Naratau mountains - can you see anyway to change the intinery to do this? We can't spend less time in Tashkent at the beginni...
