It is forbidden to transport by plane because of the batteries. Or order online and send it to Armenia, for example via AliExpress? Does anyone have expe...

Re: Karachay-Cherkessia and Kabardino-Balkaria
Hello faevil, 3 years ago we did a trip from Teberda to Verchny Baksan, the north side of Mt. Elbrus. Very nice! The gpx-file is on gaia . 8 days, 120 km. For the first part it`s better you apply a border permit (for Teberda). After the trip we stayed some days in a hotel on the south side of Mt. El...

Searching for camping gear/gas in Panjakent
I think, there ist no option in Samarkand. You can buy gas bottles in Penjikent. The name of the shop is Armughon, on the main road. Tel. +992 927746202. A small bottle cost 95 TJS. The owner of the shop speaks English.

Re: Climbing Peak Chimtarga
i'm not to degrade of you, i just want to say not to search on any forum any advice on climbing even easy mountains. Maybe you have better options. I don`t have a guide book or a detailed route description for Chimtarga & Co. I have the book "Trekking in Tajikistan" from Jan Bakker. There is a shor...

Re: Climbing Peak Chimtarga
Mazeno,
I never said, that my experience is 6B or rock climbing is comparable to mountaineering. But if I can climb UIAA VI-VII, I`m able to climb rock section in mountaineering III-IV. That`s I wanted to say. Maybe my English is too bad...

Re: Climbing Peak Chimtarga
Hi Julia & Mazeno, thanks for your response! We want to do a hike for two weeks in the Fann Mountains and Yagnob Valley with our own tent and food. So we have enough stuff/food to carry. That`s the reason, that I asked for climbing without rope and harness... And no worry, we have experiences in roc...

Re: Climbing Peak Chimtarga
Hi Julia,
we have experiences with rock climbing and mountaineering. But we are only 2 persons. If there are crevasses, it`s better to go on a rope with 3 or 4. And I would like to go without rope and harness because of the weight...
