Does anyone know if a border permit for a car and passengers is needed to cross the border from Kazakhstan into Krygyzstan at Karkara ? I have hired a car in Bishkek in August and will drive Almaty, Kolsai Lakes, Charyn Canynon and then over the border to Karakol. I have had mixed information from t...
