Re: Pamir Highway - Kyrgyzstan to Kashgar to Tajikistan (May 2023)
If you have a Chinese visa, then going through China is an option... but I don't think they've started issuing tourist visas yet. Otherwise you can got from Osh to Uzbekistan to Tajikistan then do a loop from Dushanbe to the pamirs.

Re: Karakoram Highway Cycling travel sharing
I haven't heard of bicyclists needing guides in Xinjiang. Oh really? It’s gonna be quite simple if that’s the case. I checked your travel report in 2012, it’s awesome. Re: Pamir in Mid May 2023-Looking for 2-3 people
I don't think there was anything that hopeful in that thread, and I expect all crossings to remain closed for the foreseeable future. The borders closed because of clashes in 2021, and the conflict escalated in 2022, so things aren't exactly trending in the right direction.

Re: One week too much?
Bus stations, airports, and train stations are pretty boring, as are the rides themselves... and you'll basically be spending half your time doing these things. Re: Current and future situation of Russian influx
"them"... You are talking about refugees trying to get away from war and military duty hampering "us" in having a great last minute low budget holiday in a world which is not ours? Have any of them claimed refugee status? Did any (or many) of those now fleeing express any prior opposition to the wa...

All Tajik-Kyrgyz border crossings are closed, so it's not happening.
