Re: Is it possible to have a yurt stay in September?

Re: help with itinerary over Tosor Pass

Unfortunately I've never crossed the Arabel pass: it is part of my plans for the future.

As I said, I have no personal exerience, but from what I heard, it looks like it is not harder than the Tossor, but I will not give any advice until I will have rode it ;-)

Re: Kazakhstan new visa free rule 2015

Hey guys, as far as I know there are no border controls between Russia and KZ, right?[...] No, wrong. There are no customs controls, as Russia and Kazakhstan are in the same Custom Union, but there are definitely border controls. I have Italian passport (so I don't need KZ Visa) and multiple russia...

Re: Irkeshtam pass report – Kashgar, Xinjiang to Sary Tash, Kyrgyzstan

Not a typo: my experience is from 2017. Don't know if things changed, but already in 2017 people sayed to us that they would have installed spyware on our phones, but nobody did it. I'm always very cautious in writing about rules in Asia: from my experience it's never a "will be, for sure"...

Re: updated infos about Aralsk?

Actually I remember Hotel Altair being open in august 2016, very close to the train station, and I saw at least one more "hotel" sign...so probably Aral Hotel is no more the only one in town... From a short research on google maps it looks like there are even more: probably it's time to up...

I don't know if things changed, but I would suggest to substitute "will be" with "may be".
When I entered China from Irkeshtam in august 2017 nobody installed anything on our phones. 8 people, 8 phones.
