Re: Car storage in Armenia?

Hi Steven, the problem with the expert is that nobody can be "expert" in this kind of things. Both me and Daniel are frequent travellers in that areas but rules are...asian... In years of travelling in Central Asia I had at least 5 different TIP forms: sometimes it was easy to get out from...

Re: Car storage in Armenia?

Yeah, actually I don't know how Armenia is dealing with this kind of things: I entered there last time in 2010, so, a long time ago. Probably this topic is not the best place to discuss about Custom Union rules, but maybe it can be helpful for Steven to collect some infos and put them alltogheter in...

Re: Car storage in Armenia?

[...] For information, the Eurasian Customs Union allows you to keep a vehicle for up to one year in for example Russia, but only if your visa is valid that long. So, last year I entered Russia with a 1 year visa with about 11.5 months left on it. My car was allowed in until the end date of the vis...

Re: Balykchy: anything to see / ruin porn?

Balychky? In my opinion, it is simply a not so interesting town. Not so much to see and not so much to do. I agree with Steven: ruins from soviet times can be interesting for some pictures or for some "look at what happened here in the past" article, but why limit ourself to this? There is...

Quicker? I'm not sure.
More interesting? Yes, definitely.

From Chaek, to reconnect to M41, you have to turn north up to Suusamyr.
They are building a new direct road to Kazarman, but I don't think it will be ready soon.

Re: Handing over motorbike in India

I will try to answer to questions I have a reasonable answer for: Question 1: Does the Wagah border control mark my vehicle in the passport? No, they will stamp the carnet only. You can leave the country by air no problem. Bike should be exported in the next 6 months. Question 2: Can you think of an...

Re: Pakistani Visa for Italian Female

AFAIK, Milan consulate is ok if you enter the country by air, as I think your friend will do (I entered by land, coming from China)
Caravanistan used to provide LOI. I don't know if they still offer this service, but Steven can be more clear than me.
Never heard of people needing NOC to obtain visa...
