When i entred to the country and asked for card, officer just waved with his hand... And nobody wanted it when i went out of the country, so it should be 99% ok

It is easy to rent, i do not know about prices, but frankly, you do not have other option, if you do not have own gear. But it should be cheap, do not worry. Its impossible to do the best treks without it or without being member of a organized group, there arent homestays.

I forgot, but it was around 60000,i didnt bargain, but you do not have to search for buddies here, its easy to organize taxi in Bukhare, local people do this route

Great experience, i came at 9:15 on tuesday, maybe 50 people waiting, most of them because other issues, i got inside before 10:00. Fat man in the window number three is kind, helpful, can speak english. He had to check some list with the countries, for Slovakia no problem to apply, he checked refer...

Yes, Steven is right... It was totally safe there, but if i want to speculate, just theoretically, when Taliban decided to earn some extra money by kidnapping, it would have abilities to do this, and i think nobody would prevent. But it has never happened. But can.
