Re: Corona virus border closures
Another possibility - try to call the embassy in DE (call not e-mail so that you can ask anonymously - you never know how they collect data :)) I'd recommend the opposite - do not expect any data protection in Uzbekistan, and a print-out of a (positive) answer by e-mail might help in an argument wi...

Re: Turkmenistan, in/out with an already issued Transit Visa
No tourists (including those with a transit visa!) will be admitted into Turkmenistan until the end of March. See viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12239

Re: Russian business visa, work details
Each Russian embassy likes to make up their own rules about visas, no idea how the embassy in Dublin(?) deals with business visa applications, but usually, they don't really care about your job. I also have second question. I've been told now that if I haven't gotten a Russian tourist visa before, I...

Re: Embassy report: Turkmen transit visa in London
As Turkmenistan has more or less closed its borders due to coronavirus (panic) until further notice, there is no point in processing applications as it's unclear when they open again.

Re: Corona virus border closures
Not just rumors, the border is closed and the entire town of Taftan quarantined. I would GTFO there.

Re: Corona virus border closures
Armenia and Pakistan have closed their borders too. Iran is now inaccessible by land. (or not, as the Azeri border might still be open)

Re: Corona virus border closures
This article https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-51591091 , which notes that Iran is up to 4 deaths, quotes a doctor who says that the virus is likely now present in all major Iranian cities. I would watch Iranian borders and quarantine regulations. Yep, the Iranian government is trying to suppress...

As the first post still says that flights and trains between Mongolia and China continue: Both have been cancelled in the meantime.

Re: Coronavirus Monitoring
German MFA says the same, the measure affects all travelers from countries with more than 10 cases of 2019-nCoV. Totally absurd, but here we go.

Re: Valid Pakistan Visa in Old Passport Still Valid?
Logic is not everything here though. Some countries (even the USA!) are fine with you arriving with a valid visa in an old, invalid passport and a new passport. The USA stamp the new passport with a note saying "VIOP" (visa in old passport) in such a case. I have no idea about Pakistan, but the ques...
