Re: New Railway Baku-Tiblisi-Kars (Turkey)

Does anyone know if this route is operating properly now (January 2018)? We will be in Tbilisi in March and want to try to traverse across to Cappadocia while we are there. Interested to know if anyone has made the train journey if they have anything to share about it.

Re: Best Skiing Destination? Iran (Dizin) or Georgia (Gudauri)?

There aren't many foreign skiers in the region (except for Gudauri). Im genuinely surprised that more people don't go to Shymbulak in Almaty to ski. Kazakstan is visa free for most foreigners. Its 3hrs flight from Dubai and Abu Dhabi which is full of skiing starved foreigners and 3-5hrs away from t...

Iran visa prices

Hi, does anyone know where we can find a list of prices for different countries for the Iran visa. I am looking for a Seychelles passport holder. From what I understand Australian passport holder is $120 for basic visa and French $60. If I am wrong about that please correct me.

Re: Offroad track to mountains - our map/suggestions?

Having driven the South side I can confirm that the landscape isn't particularly remarkable. Something I didn't anticipate was the fact that the road was very rarely besides the lake. There is only a short section where it drops down to the lake's edge (30-40mins max). The rest of the time you're at...

0.94 mnt fo 92 octane.
= USD 0.16/ltr (using black market rate). You can fill a 60ltr car with premium fuel for USD10. It costs me USD80+. Crazy!
