I've heard the train from Turkey to Iran has been closed. Is it permanent or temporary due to COVID-19? If I enter Iran from Turkey and will meet my guide in Tehran, do I need someone accompany me on the train from the border to Tehran?

I believe it's temporarily closed due to COVID.

Seat61 reports that the Van - Tabriz train is running again weekly from November 2024. Can anyone actually confirms it?
