We are 3 senior (but not overly senior) Americans traveling in Uzbekistan for 3 weeks in September/October. I'm wondering how to get from Nukus to the Ferghana Valley. Is there a train or trains we could take? I realize that's clear across the entire country, and it may require some combination of train and taxi, but I'd rather avoid taking a plane. Any suggestions for us? We do fly in and out of Tashkent, and I'm thinking we could visit the Ferghana Valley at the end of our stay and then return to Tashkent for our departing flight. I
Thanks for any suggestions or help
Diane

Re: Are there trains to Ferghana Valley?
There are usually two trains from tashkent south station to andishan. One in the morning, one in the evening. One some days there might be an additional train.
You can check it on kazakhstan railway homepage.
