We’re taking the old style train from Khiva to Andijan on Saturday.
We will take food and drink with us for the journey, and we understand that there is hot water so we can make tea on the journey.
Bearing in mind this is 24 hours, and my husband tends to drink at least 4 litres of water a day (he sweats a lot!), so we need to take all the water we need with us? Or is there a strong possibility we can buy on board?
Thanks again. This site is brilliant:)

Having been on that train (Andijan-Samarkand-Bukhara-Khiva) I can say that you can get water both on and off the train.
- You can get hot water from the urn and let it cool down if you don't want to drink it hot.
- You can buy beverages, including water in the dining car.
- You can buy snacks and drinks at any of the stops that are longer than 10 minutes.
