Train from Samarkand to Denov

I am looking for train information going from Samarkand to Denov. Does anyone know if this runs regularly? I am making my way from Samarkand to Dushanbe, and need to make sure I can take this train as not to overstay my visa. Is it possible to purchase a ticket in Samarkand? What is normally the cost? I know there is a train that goes Tashkent - Samarkand - Denov. Is it possible to catch this train in Samarkand? Does anyone have experience with this? Does this train only run on odd number days?
