I told a friend I would post my experience with putting a bike on a train in Uzbekistan.
Let's just say it was easy and interesting.
I was not charged extra, one conductor did not look empressed but the other one was enthused to help me out.
The interesting part was where they put the bike. Lied sideways on the top of the beds.
Also, in Urganch I bought a ticket and returned it and I got 200,000 back from 340,000. Not great but not Terrible. I canceled it because I wanted to bike the crossing but just after nukus I had some bad bike blows and decided to take the train :p
