Ile Aletau closed; mudslides and avalanche danger

Today my trekking partners and I were going to hike 1-2 days in Ile Aletau area, starting from Chimbulak. Guy in hostel told us no way could we go and showed us this scary video of nearby villages

We called the police and they said Chimbulak was closed, and much of the park that was in danger of mudslides. We had wanted to walk to the glacier but there is a warning for avalanche. It's possible some areas of the park are open but we weren't able to determine where.

There is a news site in Russian with the video and a story the hostel guy showed us but I couldn't find it again.

Oh, good that I did not get up at 5.30! The video, as it turns out, is a fake, it's from Russia. The guy who posted it is being prosecuted according to a new law which makes spreading rumors illegal if there is damage from it (in this case, panic and traffic jams).
