A New ferry route has been launched between Kazakhstan Kuryk and Iran bandar anzali in november 2020

Cargo only..anyone tried to board this cargo (foot passenger) or want to try?..if so please report your experience here thank you

we also contacted them and confirmed that it is not possible to ship the car. Passenger also not possible.

Hello there, I currently am in Georgia on a little cycling adventure from Germany to Kasachstan (or further). My initial plan was to take the ferry from Baku to Aqutau but the land borders to Aserbaidschan are closed at the moment. So now I will try to get a Visa for Iran in Tiblisi and take the ferry you mentioned. I will give you an update when I'm there.

We are currently try to ship our car from Anzali to Aqtau.
Customs has been a nightmare with almost 4 days not knowing whats going on.
In addition they don't really know how to deal with the Carnet, so we will not get the exit stamp but only an export doc.

We have been the first tourists who are using this harbor for a shipping like this. So for the next ones it might be easier...

Anyway now everything seems to be solved and the car is waiting inside the harbor for loading.

We are now heading to Yerewan, to catch a flight, as our visa expires.

Fingers crossed, that everything works with the final export. If not, we have a big problem

Just today we got the following information online from a employee of Khazar Sea Shipping Company:

* they ship cars/campers as cargo from Iran to Kasachstan (and also Russia)
* unfortunately they don't take passengers
* scheduled departure is once a week
* they are operating from Amor Abad Port northeast of Sari
* Price for a small camper (VW T4) is between 250 and 400€ depending on the weight
* opening hours of the office at the harbour are from 8am till 4pm
* two guys there speak English - the boss itself and a guy named Pouya

So we'll probably go there the next days to clarify everything a bit and give you more information...
