Tamgaly Gorge Cave Paintings?

Has anyone been to see these? I'm interested in going there from Almaty, but it's a long, expensive excursion. I'm wondering if perhaps time and money are better spent on a day hiking trek, for example. If you'd like to share the cost of a trip there, please also let me know.

HI Mary,

I have been there. Looking to go again though. I agree it is a long way for a single sight. That is why I am looking to explore the area further. We are thinking of other places in the area that are nice to visit. Like with Charyn Canyon, 2 or 3 days will make for a better experience.
