Hello,
I'm trying to find some information as to whether personal valuables for a short trip to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan need to be declared with customs upon arrival / departure? I'm talking about stuff like like an iPhone, Camera & Lenses, Laptop...etc.
I've looked online and the limited information that I can find seems to be vague, old, contradictory and differs depending on the website. There seems to be a references to unconfirmed reports of people being fined for undeclared mobile phones / laptops when leaving the country - hence the question.
There are a few scans of a Kazakhstan Customs form online - which I struggle to understand. There appears to be no reference to personal valuables other than jewellery.
Does anyone have experience of this or any insight as to whether a form needs to be completed and personal valuables declared?
Is the situation in Kyrgyzstan the same (there seems to be even less online about customs regulations there)?
Thanks
