Bishkek-issykul lake first week of October

Hi,
I'm flying to Bishkek end September-first week of October for a week. I was thinking of going round Issykul Lake, relax, take in nice autumn scenery, have some nice walks (not a serious hiker...just walks).
Is the area open and fine to travel to at this time of year? I notice it's getting colder fast.

Any advice appreciated!
