Transport between Kochkor and Osh

Hey all!

Has anyone got any experience travelling from Kochkor directly to Osh? Can't find any info online and thinking perhaps I'll have to go via Bishkek

If going by public transport, yes, you have to go via Bishkek. Otherwise you can go via Song Kol and Kazarman or Chaek, or via Naryn and Kazarman. Scenic routes but you need your own transport or a not inexpensive taxi ride.

I´ll start on 5/22 from OSH & wish to go via Naryn, without passing Bishkek

No, you almost certainly need a private vehicle. You may be able to find a share vehicle going from Jalal-Abad, but it may involve some waiting.

Since this post is quite old, has anyone managed to travel from Osh to Kochkor by shared taxi or marshutka? Any experience to share?

Road between Osh and Kochkor is currently closed due to landslides(?) according to the lady at the travel agency in Kochkor. You need to go via Naryn or Bishkek

Did anyone travel by shared taxi or minibus from Jalal Bad to Kazerman and onward direction Kochkor. And what is the road condition and is the road dangerous?

I don’t think there is a martshrutka from Jalalabad to Kazarman, and I am even doubtful about a shared taxi (though maybe you can find that). There is not much traffic between those two places. We went the other way at the end of July and decided to take a private taxi. We had to take the old road because of a landslide, and it was not dangerous. How to continue to Kochkor I am not sure, but I think that is easier.

… I just realize I am confusing place names, apologies. Jalal-Abad to Kazarman should be doable, and the road is ok. Getting away from Kazarman in the other direction (Kochkor, Naryn) is more difficult. There you might end up having to hire a taxi.
