This has been slightly frustrating but I did haven't high expectations to begin with having heard that people from South Asia do have a tough time being approved E-visas to KZ. So I just decided to gamble with my $50. Not too worried about what will come of this visa application but I shall keep you guys updated.
Update - Received a reply to my email which basically states that I should upload the documents on the e-visa portal. That's about it. Wouldn't hurt on their part to specify what the route plan should actually include.
That said, I give up. If they don't want me to come to their country and spend my money, that's alright. I'm not too interested either, anymore.
Indian passport holder here, application status is still showing as "submitted" after 18+ days, (including twice re-submitting after the application got returned due to "absence of route plan"- despite all documents being attached. I know at least 3 other Indian Passport holders who had the exact same experience. Would be interesting to know the experiences of travellers from other regions- is this limited to South Asian countries (maybe Kyrgyzstan does not really want people from these countries visiting) or just some administrative/system glitches that affect applications from all countries.

Yeah I'm also curious to know whether this issue is being faced by only people with weaker passports or everyone in general. When I flew out to Tashkent via Dubai back in April, I met several other people from Pakistan at the airport who were flying out to Bishkek and they had all gotten their visas without any issues. So perhaps this is something quite recent.
I also contacted the KZ visa authorities on their WhatsApp number asking them what exactly a route plan is supposed to include. They replied saying a route plan means my travel plans and failed to clarify any further. At this point, it feels like a lost cause and I'm not going to resubmit my application. My UZ visa is valid till the end of October so I'll definitely make a trip out there at some point in the next couple of months if things there get better but this experience with the KZ E-visa has totally put me off.

I rolled up to the border with my car once and got refused.
I'm from the Netherlands.
Then I had to resort to using a local friend, a notary and a translate. To get my car across on the 18th of July 2021
They did not allow me to cross.
Now I read about the list of 33 countries being extended, including the Netherlands.
I haven't found a government website link yet, the only thing I can find it this FB page of some kind of Tourisme account, which states:
Department of tourism under the MEF Kyrgyzstan informs that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan (order #958 of July 16, 2021 ) has expanded the list, according to which tourists from the following foreign countries can also arrive in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic by land.

2. Republic of Bulgaria
3. Republic of Cyprus
4. Republic of Northern Macedonia
5. Mexican United States
6. Kingdom of Thailand
7. Romania

Now this e-visa process takes at least 2 months or even more. Some people didn‘t get an answer or approval after several months. The contact via WhatsApp cannot help much. It‘s much easier and faster to apply for a visa at a Kyrgyzstan Embassy (consulate).
Maybe you‘re right, Kyrgyzstan does not really want people from these countries visiting.

Hi, I am Mahfuz from Bangladesh.
1. Is it too complicated to get e-visa from south asian countries? Have a plan to visit Kyrgyzstan & Uzbekistan next month. A bit confused after reading the recent failed attempts of fellow south asians. And usually how long does it take to get an e-visa?
2. Bangladesh is on the list of newly added 35 nationalities (excluding previous 33) who can enter Kyrgyzstan via land borders as per the facebook post. Is the source authentic?

we are planning a trip to Kyrgyzstan in mid September. I am worried about the covid situation there? Does anyone have a recent experience? We will be vaccinated. Is it safe?

I am currently in Kyrgyzstan, have been in Osh and Daroot-Korgon for a few days. Just arrived in sary mogol. Except for the Bishkek to Osh plane (where to mouthmask ratio was not perfect but just as good as ams-istanbul and istanbul-bishkek on pegasus) my mouth mask count is five. One random guy on the streets in Osh, one that entered a store, someone just outside the hospital in Daroot-Korgon, a nurse at the entrance of the hospital and one woman in the shared taxi to sary mogol. My handshake count for this year went from 0 to something like 20 in less than a week. Vaccinations have started, mostly with Sinopharm, but according to someone from Bishkek I met, with some connections to government, it is easy to bribe your way to a false vaccination certificate. In short, people do not really seem to care about covid.
There is good news though, cases are declining and are focused in Bishkek ( also relative to population). Out in the mountains risks seem to be lower. A dew weeks back a sample found that 85% of cases were uk variant and 14.5 south african, so delta does not seem to have arrived in earnest. Good news, especially when vaccinated.
I would say risks are a bit higher than before. Check your insurance coverage for covid and decide if you are happy with the risks present.

Hi, does anyone have any more info on the state of land borders from Tajik to Kygryz? I'm particularly interested in Kyzyl-Art pass, am getting conflicting reports. Thanks.
