Hi, we are cyclists heading into central asia and would like to get a package sent from home with a few things we need (nothing valuable). What is the likely hood of it arriving in one piece? I heard from an expat that it's no good in Kazakhstan, so we thought we might try our luck in Kyrgyzstan. It would be coming from Australia. Also, would it be best to send it to the post office or a hostel/host? Apologies if I have missed this info somewhere.
Cheers

postal service in Kyrgzstan
Re: postal service in Kyrgzstan
Hi there
I am myself cycling and waiting for 2 parcels from europe.
I would suggest you to use dhl with a tracking number. Dont send anything without tracking number. Already a month i am waiting for a parcel from Turkey sent through normal post without tracking...
Surprisingly, it cost only 30 euros with dhl from europe. It shouldn't be much more from Australia.
Look at Nathan David in warmshower page. A good place to stay in Bishkek for cyclists.
Safe rides
